Welcome .....

Mehndi is the application of henna as a temporary form of skin decoration in India, as well as by expatriate communities from the country. The word mehndi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā.

As tradition, Mehndi is a ceremonial art form which originated in ancient India. Intricate patterns of mehndi are typically applied to brides before wedding ceremonies. The bridegroom is also painted in some parts of India.

Henna (Lawsonia inermis, also called henna tree) is a flowering plant used since antiquity to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather and wool.

The English name "henna" comes from the Arabic حِنَّاء (ALA-LC: ḥinnāʾ / pronounced [ħɪnˈnæːʔ]) or colloquially حنا, loosely pronounced /ħinna/.

Applying-mehndi-on-hands

Henna paste is usually applied on the skin using a plastic cone or a paint brush, but sometimes a small metal-tipped jacquard bottle used for silk painting (a jac bottle) is employed.

Unlike tatto, henna paste is applied on top of the skin (just like writing from a marker) , not penetrate inside skin with a needle.

Drying henna paste,Henna paste on skin before scraped away/removal.

Henna stains moments after paste removal. The henna still needs time to develop full color.

The same henna stains approximately a day and a half after the henna paste removal.
Nothing special was done during this time, this is just the natural life cycle of henna.
Henna stains become darker after 12- 24 hours.
